Seven - Pt. 2 -

Chapter 7
in which Sarah finds out just where her companions went and Tinker Bell makes a deal...

I must note that this Tinker Bell is really resourceful.
On the way from the treehouse, she had picked the best looking berries and vegetation from the freshest looking bushes and branches we came across, and had found the sweetest tasting water I had ever had the honor of tasting, from the richest and clearest of springs. She didn't have much to pack from her former home..merely stuffed just a few items into a simple brown rag of a sack, and she poured her treehouse-cooked meal into a small container that hung against her hip.
She let me know that we could split it when the time came to eat.
I was really appreciating her kindness, especially after being around villains who didn't necessarily give a crab's claws if I lived or died.
It was refreshing, to say the least.

On our mini journey, we talked. About this and that.
I told her a lot about myself and my past, and she did the same.
Learning more about one another made our alliance more comfortable, and the atmosphere less awkward. Our seemingly endless walking and chitchat lasted well over an hour.
Until we both grew silent and just concentrated on getting through the tricky heaps of trees, trees and even more trees. It was when there came a point where we didn't have to focus on our surroundings as much that I decided to look up.
The night sky..so beautiful and still so mysterious.
It always filled me with wonder and hope, every time I looked up at it.
The moon, the stars...here, I could see even more. Faint images of galaxies and other planets, gently trying to break through the clouds that passed hauntingly across the sky.

Time seemed to be normal here.
Which made me ponder on the possibility that the accelerated time span in Middle-Earth was merely a side effect of the world being progressively altered, courtesy of the "Others".
Once again, I was left in confusion, ugh.
However, I soon found myself brushing it out of my mind and moving on to other important matters. Like, ya know, stuff.
"So, is there anything going on between you and Hook?"
hmm...

She laughed to herself.
"Once..there was a spark..but he's just as bad as Pan now. And he's done such terrible things.." "I hear ya."
She climbed over a log that I merely jumped over and she wiped herself of the dirt that found itself on her shirt, with an unamused expression on her face.
"What about you and one of your  lot?...what are their names, anyway?"
"LOOLLLLLL, don't make me laugh. Strictly business between us, chicka, strictly business. They don't care about me. In fact, they've probably already.....well....."
I didn't wanna spill the fear that they might have already abandoned me, when I only just convinced her to come with me so she could go home.
"The bleach-blonde haired one is Master. The one in a nice suit, combed black hair and little Irish accent is Moriarty. The one with make up on and greenish hair is Joker.."
"Make up??" "--oh, right..sorry...uhh..stuff you put on your face to either make you look pretty or...like..I dunno..look a certain way...it's basically decorating your face."
Oh wow, that sounds weird. So glad I don't wear it.
"Sounds lovely!" She cooed, girly-like.
..typical.
"Clowns use it a lot. Clowns are people back home that dress up goofily to supposedly  make children laugh..but they only terrify..annndd last, but not least, the one with a mouth piece, is Bane!"
"Good lord..you have a lot to handle from those four, don't you?"
"Like watching over juvenile delinquents. It's tiresome."
That's when Tink giggled.
"Honestly.........I think you and Pan would be cute together."
WHOA, UNCALLED FOR.

I merely laughed, a bit more nervously than I intended.
"Uh, haha. . not my. . um. . he's, uh. . y'know. . he's not really what I'm looking for."
"Oh??"
Her pace quickened and she was soon caught up with me, eyeing me nosily.
I tried to look back at the sky to avoid the gushy subject..but alas. It was inevitable.
"Who is??"
uuuggghhhh
"Um.....well.....he, uh....it's...kind've hard to explain."
"Try me!"
URG!
"....I've been seeing this..guy...in my dreams..I've never met..well...that's not true..recently, I think  I've met him. I've been dreaming about 'im for years, and..a weird hold put itself on me ever since..and the moment I started having 'em, I decided to wait..I prayed...I hoped..and it seemed like the best decision for me. Y'know, to wait for the one that was absolutely perfect for me. And....ya know...I think I....I might have found him....and honestly..I'm in love with the dream guy...even though, I've never met him, and I don't know who he is.....I just am."

I decided to stop.
So I wouldn't get sappy.
Tink, on the other hand, burst with extreme giddiness.
"OH MY WORD!! That's INCREDIBLE!!"
agggghhhhhhhh
"Sarah, you are just..umph..I don't even know what to make of you!"
"Good, cuz neither does anyone else."
"You are nothing  like I've ever seen before!"
"It's no big deal, really!"
"Nonsense. I'm rooting for you and whoever this is! That is so sweet!"
ALL THIS GUSHINESS WAS KILLING MY INSIDES.
I WAS GOING TO 'SPLODE.
TOO MUCH LOVE TALK.
TOO MUCH.

She playfully nudged my side, with a look that all gal pals give their fellow gal pal.
"But what are you going to do if he's not  the one? Settle for someone else??"
"No settling. If I can't find the one I want...well..I'm just gonna stay a little lone wolf."
She frowned, rather sadly. "Really?? You'd rather be alone??...I don't think anyone should be alone."
My head sank solemnly, "I'd rather be with someone who makes me happy than be with someone who's only there to pass the time. Someone who loves me,  raise our children with me, stays with me...is willing to die with me or die for me, as I would for him...when everything goes down. If I can't have that..I'm fine with being alone."
This made her face sparkle with delight.
"I admire that. . I only wish I could find someone to share that with..."
My eyes gravitated to her. I gave her a hopeful smile.
"You will. Give it time. The right person always comes."
She smiled faintly, sharing the hopefulness. "Thank you, Sarah."
I proceeded to pat her on the shoulder.

A few minutes passed before it occurred to me that just maybe, we were being followed.
Or watched. Or both.
And my instinctive paranoia kicked in.
"Hey, Tink? Maybe you should check the orb and make sure we're not being followed..."
Turns out Tink was just as antsy about the matter, for not two seconds later, she had hurriedly drawn out the orb and held it before her rather nervously and tightly.
It once again glowed a glittery, mystical yellow.
I watched as she held it cautiously with both hands and stared intently into it, as if that were the way to activate it. Soon, she spun her hand around it and it reacted..
unfortunately, it showed nothing.
It went black instead. She huffed. "Oh, this wretched bloody thing.."
oohhh, sassy Tink. Things were getting real.
She did it again, and it responded. Once again, it went black.
She puffed herself, agitatedly. "OHHHHH!!"
Giving it a violent shake, she yelled at it in frustration, to which I winced and kind've backed away, so I wouldn't have it hit me in the face, or, ya know, have it hurling my way.
"Let me try."
She took no time in handing it to me. I held it carefully in my gloved grasp and rotated it a bit to examine and get a feel for it. It was, after all, an unfamiliar object.

Once more, just the touch made me pulse with electricity, as I held it like an ball of energy.
"Maybe it's outta batteries."
She didn't respond and I didn't blame her.
I gave it a gentle shake, then mockingly twirled my hand around it as if I were performing a magic act.
It did the usual misty thing, then vibrated in my hands, but refused to show anything other than cloudiness. "Work,  darn you!"
This time, it sizzled like a flaming toaster, then snuffed out into complete darkness and the only thing I saw now was my own reflection.
"UGH." I tossed it back to Tink with one hand; it was dead to me.
"I hate things."
"Well, yeah, same.."
She started placing it back into her sack.
"In the meantime, we're just gonna have to-"
"Sarah!"  She gasped, suddenly.
I swung my head back at her. "What?"
She pulled the orb back out as it rang like an ominous bell and glowed a dark, gothic red.
I rose an eyebrow and got up closer.
"Is it..um...supposed  to do that?"
She shook her head, concernedly, no doubt worried it might be broken.
My tongue pressed thoughtfully against my cheek, "huh."

That's when the sounds appeared. Sounds of men.
And we both looked at one another.
The sounds were muffled and distorted, the words breaking into fragments.
And a fuzzy static sound was hidden amongst it. Our eyes returned to the orb, the source of the peculiar noises. At last, it chose to be helpful and it broke into a mist, without either of us having to do a thing, and that's when we saw it. Clear as day itself. Pan was aboard Hook's ship.

Tink gasped at the sight. "Oh no.."
What's he doing??  I squinted at the tiny image.
Pan was pacing around the deck, moving his hands around as if he were telling a story, while Hook- an unusually attractive pirate with black shaggy hair and facial scruff, bright blue eyes traced with black eyeliner, clothed in dark, black leather attire- leaned against a spar with his arms crossed.
He was watching and listening to the boy, half-tired and half-amused.
This was just weird, the two of them on the same side. Or at least...seeing eye-to-eye on something.

Captain Hook

Suddenly, the words became crystal clear.
"--So, she got away?"
"Not for long. I have my boys looking for her. I just want you and your men to be ready."
"In case of what?" "In case she comes out of the jungle and into view along the shoreline."
"And you want me tooooo....what??"
"Take her. Only if  she comes around.."
"Hm...perhaps it's best we come on land ourselves and search for her."
"We can handle things just fine. My boys are, after all, more adept of the island than your drunken little marauders are."
Hook did not look pleased. "Careful, mate..it's not wise to cross me."
"It's even more unwise to cross me."
Pan looked at him rather menacingly as he got up close to him.
"Or have you forgotten what happens to those that do??"
Hook wanted to say something. He wanted to say something so badly.
But he held his tongue.
Pan backed away. "Just do what I tell you. Sarah will be recaptured, but in CASE she moves to the shores, I want you to be ready. Fail me...let her get away..our deal is off. And I'll make sure you're held responsible."
Hook stood up straight in that moment, obviously getting annoyed by the good-looking little demon.
"I think you're forgetting we are PARTNERS in this, boy. You don't order me around, especially on my ship, like one of your bloody brainwashed little urchins."
Oooh, it was getting heated.

Pan's eyes darkened at the defiance and he moved back to the pirate captain like he wanted  to kill him, but his devious smile and smug expression kept it from being too obvious.
"Let's not fight, Hook. Not when we're so close to getting what we both  want. I'd hate to have to kill you, too...."
With that, he turned and started back to his boat, two Lost Boys waiting for him.
"Forget it. We'll find her ourselves. Trust me. My boys are on it right now."
*gulp*
"There's only so many places that wench can hide."
how dare
"..And what about her colorful companions?"
The teenage nightmare turned back around, slowly, and was grinning such a sly grin, about to speak----
when the feed cut.
IT CUT.
"Oh no...NO! NOOOOO!!!"
My despair was almost comical as I faked a sob and shook Tink's hands around that were still holding the orb. "I needed to heaaarrrrr!!"
I could tell Tinker Bell was wanting to laugh, but she held it in rather impressively, no doubt to be respectful. And she put the orb away. "Don't worry, we'll find them!"
I held my face, continuing to whine like an idiot.
what is life.
"It's not gonna be fine! We're never gonna find 'em! They're gone, I tell you, gone!"

My wails got more atrocious and pathetic, making Tink stuff her hand atop her mouth to hold back the incoming laughter, as silenced giggling trickled through.
"Stop it, you're making me laugh! This is sad!!" She shook her head at my behavior.
After a few more dumb, childish whimpers, I dropped the act, took a few deep breaths and sighed.
"No, really...you're right."
She held her hands, eyes focused on the ground, "You remind me so much of him...before he..started all this." I frowned at her sadness. But it didn't last long.
Her eyes immediately moved back up. "What are you going to do?"
"Lay down and die."
I said maturely, pouting like a brat, turning to continue on my way.
Tinker Bell followed, quietly giggling.
"But no-" I spoke, sternly, now trying to form a plan. "Those two clearly have a rather rocky alliance...if we could perhaps get them to turn on eachother, we may not HAVE to fight them. We'd be able to just hightail it out've here." "That's a good plan...but how would we be able to get them to turn against one another? It's already surprising they're working together."
I thought long and hard on this, holding my chin like the true Sherlocka Holmese that I am.
"Correct me if I'm wrong..but didn't Hook have a brother?"
Tinker Bell looked at me a bit confusedly, as if wondering how I could possibly know this, but the curiosity faded and she nodded her head, positively.
"They came to the island many, many years ago. They were British sailors who had come for their king, to acquire a plant that grows here..the Dreamshade. They met Pan and he agreed to help them, but..he didn't tell them that the plant was poisonous. It kills you slowly. When they left..his brother fell gravely ill from the toxin and he died. Hook returned, furious, out for revenge. He intended to kill Pan, but he couldn't..Peter is much too powerful. The boy only laughed, like the whole thing was a game...........this started to make me realize...where he really stood..."
Her gaze fell to the ground, sadly.

"..........AHA!"
Tink's eyes got big. "Aha?"
"That's it!" "WHAT'S it??"
"We'll use his brother's death as a trigger! A good reminder can set a person off. If we can reignite his hatred for Pan, that could be just the thing we need!"
"Oh my...."
"I know it seems a bit cruel, but...I have zero sympathy for Hook..after everything he's done.."
"No, I understand...it's a good plan."
I went over it a few times and it did indeed seem like a good plan.
"....I tried to get through to Pan, by the way....I told him to travel with me...give up working for those creeps..it didn't work."
Tink's head sagged. "I know how you feel.."
ugh, emotions.
I shook my head to get rid of them, "C'mon, girl. We're almost-"
Suddenly, I heard Tink scream. And I swung around.
Only to be knocked back with a powerful hammering blow to the chest and thrown several yards away.

Once I landed with an excruciating slam to the ground, bouncing hard against the edges of trees, I groaned and struggled to see what in the actual heck.
Tinker Bell was yelling and screaming and fighting for her life as she was being dragged across the ground by the leg by a---what in the--
"NEVERbirds?!"
What were they doing here?!
I sprung up as my body recovered from the blow, only to realize that the bird was taking the fairy away.
"Tink!!"

I ran full force towards it and as I got close, I lunged into the air and kicked the bird back with all my energy, causing it to let go of the fairy.
I landed on my back and winced at the familiar pain--
it surprised me, at the same time, that I still had a spine left to speak of.
Once again, I recovered relatively quick, and leaped up.
The bird, too, was beginning to recover.
I grabbed Tink's hand and pulled her up, the two of us now standing and facing the wild creature.
"What IS that?!" Tink squealed.
"You ain't familiar with it?" "Of course not!"
"Huh--must be another friendly visitor from a land far away."
At that second, I grabbed her arm and tossed her away. "Go, go!"
She didn't argue.
She ran behind me with everything she got. The bird started to stand, in the meantime, and recover it's bearings. As soon as it did, it looked at me..with large black, emotionless eyes.
It's feathers were an eye-popping galaxy blue, but the tips seemed stained with dirt and it's blackish beak looked grizzled and full of notches. This wasn't a pretty, gentle bird that one is used to.
This here was a wild turkey with the heart of a pterodactyl.

I chuckled at the little growl it made, that was chillingly crackled and raptor-sounding.
In that same instant, I whipped out my guns from my holsters and leaped backwards, letting a series of gunshots ensue, aimed straight at the hostile creature.
It charged me and blocked many of my bullets, ducking here and ducking there, so I began to follow it's movement, running backwards after Tink as it came right at me.
My fairy friend began to slow down, but I wouldn't have it.
"GO, GO, GO, JUST GO!!" I yelled over the gunfire and bird screeches, and she listened.
Fortunately, my shooting paid off some and the creature was too slow to deflect two bullets that inevitably hit it's side. It shrilled, but seemed motivated to come at me with even more vigor and greater vengeance. My heart skipped four beats when my ears heard the chilling, empty sound that came from my weapons. Out of ammo.
My eyes grew in size as I saw the bird come even closer.
So I placed the guns back into the holsters (contrary to the idiots who just throw their weapons when out've ammo, ugh) and immediately pivoted to chase after Tink.

The bird hobbled after us with surprising speed for a wounded animal..even so, we ended up being faster.
Tink ran around a fallen tree that was blocking our path, being held up in the air by it's support of land and fellow trees. I, myself, packed up enough energy into my legs and sprung right over it.
This caused the unsuspecting creature to crash right into it, trying to grab for my legs with it's beak.
It being held up, we were bought some time.
I was again at Tink's side, who was meanwhile rummaging into her sack, soon pulling out something.
I looked at her, confusedly. "What are you doing?"
"I've been saving this.."
She revealed what it was.
A small vile of sleeping  fairy dust.
"Tink, no! Don't waste it!"
"We've got no choice!"

I desperately looked around for anything that might help us..that's when I looked up and spotted something in the trees, and I smiled.
"Yes, we do."
In that instant, I broke from her, running towards a particular area in mind.
"I'm right behind you, keep going!"
She nodded and soon disappeared inside the menagerie of trees.
The sound of the bird was getting closer. "Come and get me, you bug-eyed catdish!"
Just as the bird got right behind me, I leaped up against a tree and kicked myself away..and I knocked back a large rock that rolled and a rumble was heard, and my action caused the bird to squeak, and trip, and fall, anddddd--within two seconds, SNAP!
I landed on the ground with an "Oof!" and whipped my head back to it.
The bird screeched in protest as it was held in the air, connected to a rope, having set off a trap.
Plan successful. Boom, baby.

I grinned up at it, standing up. "Happy trails, birdie!"
I passed it and gave it a taunting loser sign.
"You messed with the wrong queen!"

- - -

Two minutes later, after running like a cheetah from the general proximity of the Neverbird, in case it decided it didn't like being captured and escaped, I was in another area with rocks and open space, that eventually led me back into the dense jungle I so tirelessly was getting tired of.
However, there was no sign of Tink. That didn't sit well with me.
Taking a brief stop, my eyes circled the area, as I was rotating in the same position.
"Tink!"
"Right here!" I swung my head at the fairy, who simultaneously popped out of some bushes.
Whew. I sighed in justified relief. "You okay??"
"Are you  okay?" She shot back. "What happened to the bird? Is it gone??"
"I set off one of Pan's traps. It's taken care of now. Regardless, we should get going. But seriously, are you ok? That thing had a good hold on you."
"I'm fine," She spoke softly, as she rubbed her knee. "Leg's just a bit sore, is all.."
I hummed at this, in disapproval. She huffed and turned.
"I'm FINE, Sarah. Now let's get a move on!"
As she walked, however, her body betrayed her and I nonetheless noticed a bit of a limp.
I sighed at the situation, but silently followed behind her.
She was just as stubborn as me...and that ain't such a good thing sometimes.

Before long, we were back in the heavily treed part of the jungle.
"So..if your friends aren't here anymore, what are we going to do?"
I didn't wanna think about it. There was no question they abandoned me, after Pan had gotten to them.
He had turned their heads and promised them something better.
Better than me..
I let out a few quiet mutters and picked up my pace.
"I dunno. Steal Hook's ship or something."
She frowned, "That could take a lot. Especially for just you and me."
"We'll figure out a way."
I said it, trying to be hopeful, but in truth, I was lost as all heck.
She was right. It was just us two.
And she sure wasn't in any condition for any type of fighting.
So in a lot of ways, we were scroogled.
"We'll figure out a way." I repeated louder, trying to psyche myself up.
"Okay?"
She didn't look too convinced as she steadily hobbled next to me, but she nodded anyway.
"Okay."
Well, that settled it.

"Alright then. All we have to-"
There was a noise. I was growing real sick of being interrupted.
We both automatically froze.
"...do....is.."
The noise continued.
I turned my head behind us, "Did you....."
She held perfectly still...silence ensued.
. . . .
"......um..??????"
Whoooosh!
Or whiz.
Whatever you like.

Something zipped past my head and I instinctively ducked, pulling Tink down with me.
"The heck?!"
She gasped as another went by her, just barely missing her arm.
"The Lost Boys! They've found us!!"
"Aw, well, crap."
I sprung up, her springing along, and leaped away, avoiding all the nasty little whatever-they-were's that the boys were shooting or throwing at us, the urchins.
"Come on!"
Not two seconds later, the Lost Boys sent out weird little trills as they chased after us, as if they were Native American blood warriors. Which I don't know if there was such a thing, but ya know..
In the mean time, I pulled out my guns, loaded them with fresh mags and jumped ahead of Tink to cover more ground. "Ya wanna start shooting at me,  I'll start shooting at you."
Basically my life motto.

As Tinker Bell began to pass me, I spun myself around and pointed my weapons near their heads.
I know what you're thinking.. 'Omg, Sarah, you're gonna shoot the naughty forever children who are trying to kill you?!'
And the answer is shut up. Of course I'm not.

I purposely missed, the bullets flying past their heads and penetrating the trees behind them.
This made the lads skid to a stop and stumble backwards.
I moved to the side and shot at the ground they once stood, which now scared them into leaping back several feet. With that time gained, I bolted after the fairy, trying my best to create a good amount of distance between us and our assailants.
It wasn't long before I caught up with her and was taking the lead again, and we were running so fast, everything became a blur, and I don't know how it exactly happened, but just as I was screaming for Tink to hurry, I suddenly found myself colliding with something, with Tink falling right behind, and there was pain and there was ow and I questioned why I was on the ground, holding my head.
But upon lifting myself up and seeing what I ran into, my face turned into one of shock.
"JIM?!"

He hurried off his back and I hurried off my tail, Tinker Bell doing the same and soon, we were all standing. I couldn't believe--like--WHAT?
"What are you--" I began, but I was ONCE AGAIN interrupted as yet another unidentified flying object, loollllll, whizzed past my head and hit a poor nearby tree.
I flinched as the sounds of the boys got closer.
Moriarty reacted by grabbing my hand--how dare--and yanking my arm nearly out of it's socket as he pulled me forward. "Hurry up, follow me!!"
you follow Moriarty, he knows de way!
I waved for Tink to follow, which she automatically was doing so.
I didn't take a minute to wonder if this was some kind've trap or not, cuz I didn't really care.
All I cared about was, WHAT WAS HE DOING HERE???????

- - -

My question was soon answered, as we ran so fast that we lost the Lost Boys (lol again, I'm killing myself) and in no time at all, we arrived at an open patch of treeless space, the T.A.RD.I.S. sitting before us. My mouth fell. "It's still here! But that only means-"
whoop.
As if on cue, the doors were immediately swung open and out came the Master, Joker and Bane.
And I will be honest, my heart leaped at the sight of them.
Master's face was one of sheer surprise and alarm.
"Demens! THERE you are!"
"OH, DON'T CHYU EVEN, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE AND WHY DIDN'T YOU COME LOOKING FOR ME?!"
"What are you talking about?!" Joker retorted.
"We were waiting here for YOU, stupid! Just like we planned!"
I jerked my head back. "But Pan...."
"Is a skinny little creep of a *beep* that I have every intention to kill, but right now, we got to go."
"We're being followed." Spoke Jim, rather casually. "Let's continue this inside."
He pulled on my arm to follow him, but I couldn't...I was frozen.
Trying to figure out just what in the world..

"He......talked to you?"
They started to stop and look at me in confusion, as if something was wrong with me.
"..Yes." Master answered, bluntly, his brows crinkling.
I shifted. "He tried to recruit you?????"
Bane nodded. "Indeed, he did."
"And you didn't listen???"
"Unfortunately." Joker rolled his eyes.
My eyes moved to Jim, that were feeling as if they were swelling, and I felt a little pitiful and pathetic, as if I were about cry, especially when I spoke my next words more softly and timidly.
"You waited for me????"

Moriarty didn't necessarily know how to respond, so he just nodded his attractive head slowly, and a little reluctantly. And before I could fully get a hold of myself, I abruptly jumped forward and threw my arms around him. They all jerked in shock, even him.
I hugged him. I was hugging him.
What in tarnation was wrong with me, hugging a villain.
But hey. It was happening. I couldn't help myself.
I just had to show them how grateful I was....and apparently, this was the way.
I closed my eyes and let my tiny head melt into his shoulder.
Yeah, it was getting a little awkward, but he smelled nice.
Also guys are fun to hug, apparently. I don't have too much experience in the matter.

Before it got weird, I stepped back and I told myself not to- actually, I screamed it- but as I let go, you blundering idiot Sarah Demens, I made the tragic mistake of kissing his cheek.
And oh lord, I did it now.
His face was glowing with renewed fixation.
On the inside, I was cursing my great ancestors, but on the outside, I was smiling nervously.
At all of them. "Thank you..."
I swear, I detected a few blushes. Jim, on the other hand, was just straight-up shocked.
I don't think he really knew what just happened, and neither did I.
Tinker Bell, meanwhile, was standing silently behind us, smiling like a child at the entire scene.
And I swear, I wanted to smack her.

That's where our lovely little awkward display was shattered when we all heard the annoying sound of chuckling come behind us and I turned.
As I did, I waved for the others to get inside the ship, which they obeyed, as the ever-irritating Felix came out from the trees, grinning like a cat, his worn and splintered club resting lazily against his shoulder.
The gang of Lost Boys stepped out with him, surrounding us.
"Touching scene of affection, 'Demens'..however...there's only one on this island you're permitted to show affection to...and that's Pan. So if you don't mind. ."
He didn't finish his sentence with words, but instead wiggled his weird little fingers for me to come.
But I backed away, having none of that, towards the T.A.R.D.I.S., and I pointed sassily.
"YOU boys can SUCK eggs! Cuz I'm outta this joint!"
I smirked at my own defiance and leapt backward, right into the inside of the ship, and just as they bolted after me, and the doors were closed, I waved mockingly.
"See ya!"

Upon closing the doors, the Lost Boys arrived at the other end and began pounding against them to get in; but as the Ninth Doctor himself once said, Genghis Khan couldn't even break through.
So the boys and I were safe, for now.
oh, yes, right, the boys, fairy  and I were safe, for now.

After the awkward scene outside, I immediately swung around and hugged the Master, catching him as he was rushing by, which took him by an overwhelming amount of surprise.
And I proceeded to give him  a quick peck as I had Jim, which made the little Irishman make a grumpy face of disappointment. And then I turned to Joker and Bane and did the same to them, for good measure.
Thought I had to really extend my height, considering they both towered over me. The only one that necessarily acted a bit grossed out was Joker, like I just, well, idk. Did something gross.
I'm not usually affectionate to anyone other than my parents and dog.
So they better darn well feel honored.

After that, the Master hurried off for the control panel, clapping his hands as if everything were settled.
"Right! We're off, then!"
I chased after him. "How in the heck did you find me?!"
"Easy," replied Jim. "We followed your shouts and gun shots."
"Right...." I answered, feeling ashamed.
Sarah Rachel, how dare you ask such an obvious question.

Joining Master's side, I could see that he was smirking and trying to keep it to himself;
as if he didn't want me to know he was secretly pleased to have me back with the gang.
That's when I also could see Jim eyeing Tinker Bell, whom was innocently standing around, looking a bit unsure of what to do. My worries came true when the Irish bug finally shot forward and approached her.
Oh, boy. Here we go.

"And who might this be?" He asked flirtatiously and I wanted to facepalm myself and then him so bad.
This wound up catching the attention of the Master, who stopped what he was doing to lay eyes on the fairy. NOOOOOOOOOOO.
Tink, all the while, had turned to Jim surprisingly and gave him a nervous smile.
"H-hello..." She chirped, starting to blush heavily. Ugh.
Jim smiled back and took a step closer. "Jim Moriarty. And you are?"
She glanced over at me as if for approval to answer, biting her lip timidly, then looked back and shifted, shyly. "Tinker Bell."
"The  Tinker Bell?" I didn't realize it until he spoke, but the Master had broken away from my side and had jumped down closer to the two, with a goofy, flirty smile on his face, and I wanted to die.
"Stop it."
"It's quite a pleasure..I didn't realize you were so gorgeous."
"Don't start."
He took his hand and gave the side of her face a gentle stroke. She was now as red as a cherry.
"YOU GUYS, STOP."
"That's okay, I don't mind.." Tink half-whispered, trying to hide her face as the boys grinned at her.
Well, I wasn't really concerned if you did or not, chicka.

I gave them all such a scowl, "Leave her beee."
But Tink persisted and shifted, bashfully. Smiling like a love-struck schoolgirl.
"You never mentioned your companions were so handsome..."
"Tink, not you, too! Don't encourage them!"
"--And so charming, at that."
The boys winked at her, obviously just to irritate me, and she giggled.
"Give it time." I replied, looking at them.
They looked back.
"What's wrong, Demens? Jealous?" Joker provoked, grinning evilly.
"All that attention coming off our little queen??"
I simultaneously drew out my gun and pointed it at the clown as I circled the panel.
"I will shoot you."

He rose his hands up in surrender and I put my weapon back in it's holster, just as I arrived where the three flirtatious giddlywads stood.
"As I was saying, don't  start. We're taking her home."
I snatched her arm and pulled her back to the controls, where I started playing with switches and buttons.
"Um, well, if your lot is um..." She tapped her boot behind her, casually throwing tiny half-smiles at the others. "You know.........this um..well...I really don't have a terrible reason to go back...I mean...a terrible reason why I shouldn't..um, come along?"
"Stop ittttt." I grumbled, trying to focus with a concentrated look on my face.
She made a lopsided frown. "But-"
"THERE WILL BE NO KNOWING ON THIS SHIP."
There was an uneasy silence for a few seconds before she lowered her eyebrows, defeatedly.
"Blimey, you sure know how to put up the queen act.."
At that instant, I casted her an alarmed glare and she perked up immediately, knowing she screwed up.
The others had glanced at her, their interest piqued, and my heart was racing.
She glanced back at them and shifted, uncomfortably.
"I mean, you get bossy..just like a real queen. You must be showing off for them.."
I slowly took my eyes off her and to the others, who gradually lost their interest and turned away from me and the fairy. I glared back at her with a hint of an attitude and she mouthed a terribly guilty 'Sorry!'.
I shrugged it off. Whew.
Yeah...I needed to get her off that ship.

It was then that I noticed.. the Lost Boys had stopped trying to get in.
During all the nonsense, I hadn't been paying attention to what they were doing and now I was paying for it. The fact that they had ceased activity was a sheer sign of suspicious behavior.

Being next to the monitor, I took a quick glance at what the camera had to see.
Through it I saw that the Lost Boys were all standing around, staring behind them.
I blinked...uh oh.
This wasn't good.
In that second, the worst thing that could show up showed up.
A wild Pan had appeared.

"Aw, man, NO."
The others swung their heads at me, alertly.
"What??" "It's him!" "Who?"
"That skinny little creep of a beep!"
Master jerked his head back, and without pause, he was at my side.
Angrily, he shoved me to the side and bent down infront of the camera so he could see.
All Peter was doing was slowly approaching the T.A.R.D.I.S., but I, for one, did not like the smug, triumphant smile he had on as he looked straight in our direction.
I licked my lips and shifted, nervously, knowing something was gonna happen.
As he continued to just stand there, I became too anxious and paranoid over what his next move would be. My eyes shot to the Timelord. "Master, take off. Take off right now."
But he didn't listen.
Yeah..no one ever listens to me.

And now they were the ones who were paying for it. Pan had slowly raised his arm and pointed his open hand towards the ship. And with a simple squeeze of his fist, the T.A.R.D.I.S. was beginning to rattle.
"Oh no, you DON'T!" I exclaimed.
"What's he doing?!" Tink yelled.
The ship continued to rattle and I started to smell smoke as the inside sparked and snapped in random places. Whatever he was doing, it was messing up the system.
"GahhhhHHHHHH, we have no choice!!"
"WHAT?" Master bellowed, over the now loud rumbling sound echoing within.
I grabbed him by the front of his hoodie and pulled him in.
"Does this thing have some kinda microphone?!"
"Of course it does! But-" "SHOW ME."
He didn't argue, just simply pointed, and I switched on a..switch..and I got up close to the panel.
"Pan!!"

Like that, the boy froze and looked upwards. The ship stopped rattling and the air grew quiet at once.
"Yeah, I'm talking to you, you little delinquent!"
His arm slowly retracted, as he looked around.
"Stop whatever you're doing..lose the boys..and I'll talk to you."
To this, he reluctantly looked at the others and for a few minutes, I watched him..it seemed he was contemplating on the matter. As he was doing this, I turned back to Master.
"What'd he do to the ship?"
He looked at me for a moment, worriedly, then went to checking the controls, playing with the ones that actually mattered--his demeanor now turned into one of anger when sparks flew from them and they sizzled, starting to smoke. "Gahhh!"
He slammed his fist down. "We can't fly!"
My eyes looked away and closed as I inhaled, deeply,
"Wonderful..."

Without warning to the others, I leapt away from them and ran up to the doors.
"What do you think you're doing??" Jim questioned, running alongside me.
"Tell me if they're gone." I called to either Tink or Master, whilst reaching for the knob and looking back at them. Master glanced at the monitor and back at me.
"They're gone....he's waiting at the door."
Tinker Bell glared at him, then me, and started to look worried.
"Sarah, you can't trust him. He'll kill you!"
I ignored her, gave a nod back to the Hoodlord, and looked back ahead of me.
With a single breath, I rolled my shoulders and threw the door open.
Just enough for the boy to see me.
There, I faced him. He flinched in a stunned manner at my unexpected move..but instantly reverted back to his smug nature. I stared at him for the longest second, my shoulders slightly arched and my darkened grumpy eyes lowered as an attempt to look a little  bit intimidating, to make up for looking like a little 12 year old anime character.
"Whatta ya want?"  was all that exited my mouth.
Now he looked confused. "What?  What do I want?"
"That's right."
His face deepened and crinkled in a perplexed manner, as he shifted awkwardly where he stood.
"You know what I want.."
"I'm trying to get out've this stinking island and you and your hoodlums are all up here, beating on my doors and jacking up my ship, and that is very  rude."
His confusion intensified. "If..if you think games are going to-"
"Oh, save your smugness. I swear, you try too hard. I'm sorry, but my boys villain better than you, that's just it right there." Now he looked irritated and quite honestly offended.

"You're coming with me."
"Nope."
"Excuse  me?!"
"Not happening, sunshine."
His angered expression turned to one of sadness and desperation.
His 'intimidating' posture changed to a more relaxed one.
"Please...if you don't go with me and they don't get you, they'll kill me."
HA!
My only reaction was one of satisfaction and I wanted to gloat so fiercely, but I knew I really needed to tone down my already ferociously snarky attitude.
"Oh really? You don't say. The people I warned you about would kill  you, huh?"
His jaw tightened. "Demens-"
"Don't chyu Demens me. You got yourself into this mess. I'm not going anywhere."
"At least--just--come on your own. I won't imprison you, I swear!"
As I was about to answer, his eyes suddenly darted. I tensed up.
They were focused behind me.
He was now looking....betrayed.
"Tink..."
I dared his standing right there infront of me to look back at Tinker Bell.
She looked completely pale, standing a ways off, wringing her hands as she stared straight at her former friend. I slowly looked back at him, without turning my head all the way.
"What are you doing...with them?"
I gulped. Tink didn't answer. Pan took loud, forced breaths, as if he were getting excited somehow.
The anger he was feeling was clearly gnawing away at his calm demeanor.
I imagined the situation was almost like seeing your ex with someone else. Someone you hated.

"You tossed me aside...for them?  You're siding with my ENEMIES??"
I had to intervene, "Back off, flyboy. She's going with us only to get away from you. You  drove her to this." His eyes returned to me and I could feel the anger start to surge through him like fire.
Before I could give him a chance to do anything, I started to close the door.
"And we're done here."
But suddenly, it was halted from behind me, and I shot my head at--Tink.
The blonde fairy gulped as she held the edge of it, her eyes fluttering nervously.
Silently, she slipped past me, her skin visibly a complete white, and she looked terrified, almost beyond composure. All I could do was gawk at her and let her pass.
"Tink, what're you--"
"You win, Peter." She said with a shaky voice, now facing him for the first time in I dunno how long.
"You found me...but I have one request. Take me instead. Leave her and her friends alone."
I gawked even more. "Tink!!"
But Pan only chuckled. "I'm touched. But it's not you they want. It's her."
"Think about it....with me, you could fly. Use my dust for anything. You can travel again with it, and you'll be able to catch her. I'm  the one you've wanted all this time. Not her. So please...take me."
"Tink, no!"
"Yes,  Sarah." She snapped, whipping her head at me. "Go. Get out of here. Visit other worlds. Save others' homes. Stop people like him, and help those who need it. It's what you're destined for."
My heart sagged as I helplessly stared in worry.

She turned back at Pan, as he now eyed her up and down, promisingly.
I wanted to take care of things right there..but I didn't.
I just stood...feeling pathetic and useless.
Pan finally looked back at her and cocked up an eyebrow, smirking mischievously.
"Fine then..I suppose we have a deal."
He then snatched her arm like he was preventing her from getting away and pulled her back, grinning at me, as if promising that this wasn't over.
"Next time."

And like that..the two were gone.

I clenched my fists angrily and slammed the door closed.
I didn't have enough time to think before Master's calming British accent broke the silence.
"Let me guess...your hero senses are tingling, and you want to go rescue her."
"Yeeep."
I turned and started towards him.
"How are we exactly gonna do that?"  Joker piped up, now seated on the couch.
"He screwed up the ship."
Once I joined Master's side, I drew out a small object, that his eyes immediately darted to.
"So fix it."
It was his laser screwdriver.

Master gulped. "..How did you get that?"
I only smirked, "I might  have gone through your things, mayyyybeee...and given it a bit of an upgrade when you weren't looking. So now it can fix this and that, just like the Doctor's. More useful than just shooting things."
At first, he looked appalled and highly offended.....but then, he smiled and turned all the way to me, now grinning ear-to-ear. "Have I told you I love  you? As much as I can a human.."
It was my turn to look offended. "How dare, I'm no human, humans are weird!"
"Yeah, but you're  weird."
"I'm a special king of weird. The kind that's frowned upon by others cuz they're jelly of my awesome weirdness." I winked and Master winked back as he took the screwdriver from me.
Smirking, I turned back around, as he immediately began the repairing process.
"Now.....we've got a fairy to save."
My hands connected and my fingers laced together, while I bent against the panel, intellectually.
"And a Pan to defeat."

"So I placed the guns back into the holsters (contrary to the idiots who just throw their weapons when out've ammo, ugh)"

This part was hilariously light, but quite deep enough to satisfy a V-Chapper's hunger for more! Excellent work with the humor and deep info, and especially with the suspense! The suspense is fantastic!
