anxious

In the coolness of the air, the sun hidden by dismal clouds hovering over the land, a figure watched from the shadows, awaiting its prey. Prey of which was not coming.
It looked all around for any signs of trespassers upon its master's claimed dominion..but there was nothing but emptiness and silence. It slowly growled under its breath before backing away, retreating further into the darkness. It finally turned and rushed toward the building that served as its villainous lair, slithering through the door in a graceless manner.

The figure ran through the empty hallways, its footsteps echoing in every direction, passing the others it served alongside..
. . .
In a room that was larger than the rest inside the building, a creature sat crouched on the floor..its dark gaze rested in front of it.. a sight he had been fixated on for many hours now.
Something of which brought terror to the object of its attention.

Pennywise sat, staring at the group before him with conflict..
Ever since his brush with the young Queen, he had been unsettled.
An anger boiling inside of him..a longing for resolve tugging at his black heart.
His ears had now been deafened by the sound of cries and whimpering coming from the ones before him. But their pleading eyes and horror at what they stared at was creating a different effect inside him. At long last..he smiled.
"Now now...children...no need to cry...it'll all be over real soon."

One child tried to contain her sobs, constantly closing her eyes, as if trying to wake up from a nightmare. She fought back the tears and need to make a sound, as her bloodshot eyes focused on the monster clown before her.
"Please...we want to go home..we need our parents....they...they miss us.."
She shook her head, her face lowering to the floor as she choked up with more tears.
"They have no idea where we are!!"

"Oh, my dear, but that is simply not an option.."

The entire room turned their eyes to the one approaching from behind the children.
Pennywise fixed his gaze now on the figure ahead who moved with great grace and poise, slender in build, dressed in revealing white garbs, a thin red shawl flowing behind him as he walked.
He ran his fingers through his silky white hair, chuckling to himself as he did so, while he held a deadly blade with his opposite hand. One that was held up threateningly.
He passed the children, who all gasped at the sight of him and tried to shimmy away, but his attention was not on them..it was on Pennywise.

He grew closer to him, putting his free hand on his hip.
"Correct me if I'm wrong, my grotesque little bug...."
He stopped when he reached only a few inches from him.
He then pointed the tip of his sword at his face.
"But did I not tell you to leave these children be?"

The clown swallowed, looking away while licking his lips.
"The deal isn't broken..I've done nothing.."
"You're breaking it just by speaking to them..you don't have a pretty face."
The figure ran his fingers through his hair once more.
"Not like me..."
His eyes fell on the clown. "You're terrifying them. This only complicates our plan. We need them in good spirits for what we have in store for them.."

He turned and glared at the children, who all huddled closer together as they stared at him in alarm.
He smirked.
"It's alright, little ones..fear not. We have come to liberate you..not end you."

One boy with black hair rose just a bit taller than the rest, his face suggesting one that was not as affected by fear as the others.
"Who ARE you?!"
The figure's brow flexed at the boy's bravery.
"Me?" His hand laid over top his heart and he smiled once more.
"..I am your Lord. The one who rallies the beasts..the one who has specially chosen you for a greater purpose.." "For what?"

The figure liked this boy. He chuckled to himself, just as Pennywise arose behind him, who smiled at the boy as well. That's when the figure performed an elegant bow, raising both arms to the air, his face pointed directly at the children whilst wielding a completely menacing expression.
"..To serve the true darkness."

Suddenly, another burst through the doors and the entire room snapped its attention on the intruder. The figure rose his head. "What is this insolence?!"
The intruder rushed to the figure before him and bowed.
"My Lord! All is quiet on the property...but the shield has come down..they are in the town now!"
His head lifted.
"..They mean to track a scent of one of the children and find you. The girl..she is determined to fight."

Pennywise's back coiled. "She's coming! Goody! I have plans for her..hehehe!"
The figure turned his head to the side, staring at his sword as he hovered it beside his face.
"..Hmm.....well, let them come......"
He smirked as he peered into his own reflection from the blade's surface, chuckling demonically with an overwhelmingly sinister posture. "If the girl wishes to fight..a fight is what we will give her."
