Fifteen - Pt. 4 -

It's difficult to explain to normal people the reason a quiet, seemingly harmless part of town has been terrorized by monsters and a little girl had just taken out all the windows from everything around her just by screaming and managed to scare said monsters away.
Difficult enough trying to explain to normal people why our visibly weird looking group was congregated around said screaming girl for roughly 3 minutes straight, just watching her laying on the ground unconscious as blood trickled down from her nose.

"That was insanity." Velma commented, clearly still in shock from the last chapter's events.
"What on Earth just happened?!"
"Something suspicious is going on here, gang!"
"Ya don't say, Freddy boy.." I said with a tilt of the head, still staring down at the girl.
"I suspect alien activity is involved." "Mulder, the night is too young."

The wry and calm, but oh so painfully familiar voices of Dana Scully and Fox Mulder lured my eyes to the rest of the individuals who most certainly did not belong. Chills ran down my spine as I looked at not just the two FBI agents, but the two children standing beside them. A brown haired boy with a blue hat, with a pine insignia in the middle, a blue vest and shorts, and a brown haired girl with a sweater, skirt and braces. Dipper and Mabel Pines, the Mystery Twins.
If you're not familiar with these four, Dana and Mulder are special agents of the FBI, both assigned to the X-Files, a hush hush department tasked with investigating the more peculiar and extraterrestrial cases that get swept under the rug once closed.
Dana is the red-haired skeptic of the two, believing that actual proof is crucial before anything can be ruled as the real thing. Basically, her and Velma would probably be best buds.
Mulder is the dark-haired believer, with a child-like level of trust and perseverance, whose sister was supposedly abducted by aliens when they were both children.

Dipper and Mabel hail from Gravity Falls, a show featuring the two's misadventures as they discover various creatures and conspiracies scattered around their Grunkle Stan's town during their summer vacation. Dipper, like Mulder, is the believer of the two, but on the more paranoid scale. He has a passion for the supernatural, yes, but it terrifies him and that fear leads him to just wanting the weird things to stop sometimes. Mabel adapts to the weirdness as it happens, but she much prefers for things to be normal and to do normal girly things, like obsess over boys and blinging herself up like a Christmas tree. Especially with her sweaters. She's a bit of an eccentric and a little oblivious girl, always up to silly shenanigans. So basically I would count her as a crazy, more dimwitted Daphne.

I don't think I'll ever get past the feeling I get when my eyes first lay on the people I grew up watching and loving. People that were not meant to be real and yet here they were, standing before me. As such, I couldn't help but smile wide at all of them.
"Mulder, Scully...Dipper, Mabel...what are you guys doing here?!"
To be expected, they glared at one another, before looking back at me.
"You know us??" Dipper questioned.
Ah..we'll need to have a talk about that..
A talk, however, that would have to wait until later.

Just as I was about to speak to them further, a car approached ahead of us. A cop car.
Yes, just what we need. The coppers.
"What's going on here?!" The coppers and their questions.
"What have you all done?!" The coppers and their questions and their suspicions.
They gaped at all the damage around them, while also giving us dirty looks as if we were the cause of it. Kind've sort've, but naw. They stepped further towards us, examining the scene of the crime..I guess??..and the sheriff shook his head, his hand on his forehead. "What in the Sam heck??"
Why does Sam always have to be in heck?

J straightened himself up, turning only his head to us, but his eyes fixed on the police.
"It's the popo, be cool."
He then looked down at his switchblade, whipped his head to and fro, before next throwing the blade at the others' feet. They rolled their eyes.
The sheriff eyed us strange travelers, until he noticed the presence of the Scooby Gang and he looked a little more relieved as a hint of familiarity slowed its way into his face, albeit still being a bit confused. "Kids! What are you doing here? What happened?!"
"The same thing that always happens, sheriff." Fred said dramatically.
"Monsters attacked the town." "Rot rust re rown! Rour rew rends, roo!"
It's also really difficult trying to explain why your dog is talking. JK, that bit is totally normal around those parts. But there's no such thing as monsters, of course.

The sheriff nodded understandably at the dude and dog.
"That's nice, but I thought there were no such thing as monsters? And..who are these new friends of your's?" His head turned suspiciously towards us.
"Well, sir, that's a funny story..." Daphne cleared her throat and opened her mouth, but Velma elbowed her, causing the redhead to blink confusedly at her. Velma shook her head softly.
Master leaned in to whisper into my ear whilst his arms were crossed, "How are we going to explain this one, Demens?" I pointed. "Shoosh."
He jerked his head at me in offense while I passed him and did a two-finger salute at the coppers.
"Eyo, boys in blue. Nice to meet chya."
I did a bow as they focused on me with concern.
"Sarah Demens, at your service."
"Who in tarnation are you?!" The sheriff retorted. I awkwardly glanced side to side and slowly, reluctantly, did another bow. "...Sarah Demens...at your service."
"What are YOU doing here? You look so..different!" The deputy said with a gawking mouth.
"Yes, quite, very different, you are correct sir. BUT, I think you will find that I am, in fact, the solution to your problem." I turned my head and gestured at the crime scene.
"As you can see....there is a mess." The sheriff rose a brow. "You don't say?"
I nodded intelligently. "And the mess.....is everywhere."
I only received blank stares and I did not blame.
"I am worsening my case, aren't I?"
"Yeah.."
"Fascinating. I am retreating back to my corner."
I retreated back to my corner, hiding beside MB, who was shockingly still around.

The sheriff turned his head back to the Scooby Gang, while still cutting his eyes suspiciously at the rest of us. "Where did they come from? What do they want?"
"We're right here, ya know." I sassed. As usual.
He didn't like this. His brows furrowed.
"Okay, smarty pants, then answer the questions!" "We're visitors from another dimension."
"If you're gonna play games.."
I sighed. This guy, guys. This guy.
"To tell you the honest truth..we're-"
"Another mystery solving group from out of town!"
I perked and turned my head to Daphne, of all people. She rushed to my side and wrapped her lanky girly arms around my shoulders. "We needed the help to crack the case, so we called in our friends from.." She paused, which seemed to be a cue for something and I panicked and yelped out, "Gotham!" "-From Gotham! Our mystery solving friends from Gotham."

The sheriff seemed unimpressed, looking at each of us up and down with raised brows.
"Y'all don't look like much..sure you're the key to cracking the case?"
"Now sir, you offend me. We were merely brought in to ASSIST the group--not be the very turning point into solving the mystery! The glory, I assure you, will go to the gang here."
I gestured presentedly at the Scooby Gang, who all posed as if on cue.
The sheriff grunted. "Very well...but this still doesn't explain why the town is a mess....or why that kid is passed out on the ground." His eyes lowered to her, shining a light at her.
"She fainted after seeing the monsters." J lied.
I casted him a judgmental scowl. The nerve of him, making her look so pathetic after she saved our butts. Remind me to whoop 'im.
"Why is her nose bleeding? Is she hurt?"
"High temperatures make her nose bleed." Master threw in another lie.
I sighed and tightened my fists. Regardless, the sheriff bought it and nodded his head at us before turning to his deputy. "Right, we'll have to take statements from all of you, starting from the beginning." "From the beginning, you say?"
I folded my arms and lowered my gaze to the ground in deep thought.
"Well, it all started when I was in this warm, comfy cocoon.. being fed from this tube thing, living the good life, safe in my little bubble..then after roughly nine months, someone had the gull to pull me into this hideous cesspool of a world called Earth."

The others smirked, a few hiding chuckles and giggles, while the sheriff remained unimpressed and rolled his eyes at my sarcasm. "From TODAY, not twelve years ago."
I slightly narrowed my eyes. "Twelve.."
"Just let it go, love." Jim uttered with a hidden smirk.
I puffed my cheeks in anger.
"Sheriff, we're special agents Mulder and Scully.."
That's when Mulder and Scully suddenly stepped forward and shocked us all.
Mulder flashed an FBI badge at the two policemen as Scully talked, which made the two small-timers widen their eyes. "We're investigating the strange happenings here in town and are to take complete control over this case as it has elements that are of a simply put, wider scale that I think you two are not equipped to handle. That includes the questioning of all individuals and complete clearance over all evidence and crime scenes thereof. We'll be taking it from here."
The sheriff was at a loss for words and frankly too baffled to argue with the two agents.
"I..I...I....um....okay."
Mulder nodded his way. "We'll keep you posted."
The sheriff swallowed. "Right..thank you."

He had no choice but to back away, his deputy reluctantly following right behind, back into their police car. They climbed inside, started the engine, and like that..drove right off.
